Our vast array of customers includes various overhaul facilities, the United States Government, as well as foreign governments and most major prime aircraft manufacturers worldwide. In addition, Airborne Technologies is a stocking distributor for various aviation products, carries one of the most complete structural component inventories, and is a structural licensed manufacturer and premier source for the Lockheed C-130 Hercules transport aircraft.
Company History
Airborne Technologies was founded in 1972 and is in Camarillo, California. Our over-50,000-square-foot facility provides manufacturing, overhaul, design, engineering, and warehousing capabilities. We have over 14,000 line items available for the C-130 Hercules transport aircraft. Our certifications include Lockheed Martin-Certified Parts Program licensee, Boeing ANSI/ASQC Q9002, and AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 registrations compliance.
Manufacturing
Specializing in the manufacture of structural airframe components and assemblies, Airborne Technologies is a fully qualified manufacturer for the United States Government and foreign governments worldwide. To broaden our range of supply capabilities, Airborne Technologies has developed impressive manufacturing expertise in loft-contoured and formed parts. Our planning and production professionals have the in-depth experience to ensure that all Airborne Technologies-manufactured components will be produced to the correct configuration. A comprehensive library of engineering drawings, design and manufacturing standards, process specifications, and spares-configuration documentation is updated continually to make sure that all items are manufactured to the latest available revisions.
Structural Assembly
Airborne Technologies has the in-house expertise and capabilities to not only build, but to assemble most airframe structural components. From the smallest brackets to complete structural sections of an aircraft, Airborne Technologies has, in the past, built several complete lower nose sections of the C-130 Hercules aircraft as well as complete cockpit retrofits for C-130 simulators used by the U.S. Air Force. Our tooling and engineering departments can design most any assembly fixturing needed to do the job.
Forming
Hydro-forming is a major function in fabrication of aircraft structural assemblies. Our large 400-ton press along with our experienced operators allows for fast production of parts, thus eliminating the delivery problems associated with outsourcing.
Waterjet
Our three Omax abrasive waterjet cutting machines allow for rapid cutting of flat material. We can cut material from paper-thin to 2-inch-thick tool steel or titanium with .005 tolerance. Unlike laser cutting, this eliminates any change in the structural integrity of the material due to heat. In-house waterjet cutting eliminates much of the lead time and labor cost attributed to most sheet metal components.
Sheet Metal
Airborne Technologies’ sheet metal fabrication department has all the necessary experience and equipment to produce the simplest to the most complicated contoured parts and assemblies with equal confidence. Pride of workmanship and years of dedication have created the success we enjoy today.
Machining
Airborne Technologies has the in-house CNC capabilities for small and large production runs. Milling capacities extend to 12 feet, with 6 CNC machining centers and 4-axis capability. Our large conventional machining department is for prototype and short-run production, as well as 12-foot profiling capability.

Manufacturing Marvels®️ is a series of educational and promotional videos highlighting U.S. manufacturers and how their products and services contribute to many industry sectors. The series of two-minute videos are produced for Fox Business Network®️ and features the talents of award-winning director Bryan McCullough, and nationally acclaimed voice talent John Criswell.
